This guide assumes you are already a registered user who have gained access to this system
with a valid username and password.
There are two ways to book an IP/H.323 video conference, firstly to allow
all participants to dial in on an IP address and conference code, or to use an
E.164 (telephone) number or second to get the system to dial out so that
participants either automatically answer the call and appear in a conference or
select on their systems to accept the call (depends on local set up at each
participating site). Users accessing the 123 interface can create a conference in
just a few minutes.This guide provide details on both scenarios and on how to modify and delete a conference booking.
Login to 1-2-3 booking system
Please login to the 1-2-3 booking system at http://cmp.nvcs.edu.au/public/CnOne.jsp using your login details (e.g. name.surname@institution.nvcs.edu.au) and password provided during registration. Please fill the the username field with your name.surname and pick up your domain from the drop down list provided.

If you have forgotten your password, please click Forgot your password? on the login page. Please enter your account name and choose your domain , then press RESET PASSWORD. A new password will be emailed to you.

In the Details Box
- Add
a conference name and if required a PIN number.
- The
required number of ports (end points that will connect in)
- Check
the boxes for streaming and content if required (to show data such as a
PowerPoint presentation).
In the Time Box
- Select
the appropriate time zone.
- Enter
the start date and time.
- Enter
the finish date and time
Click Create.
An email message is dispatched by the CMP system to the user
confirming the conference booking and connection details including the
conference code. This type of conference requires that participants to connect
to the assigned MCU (dial-in) and input the conference details.
Modify and Remove Conferences
If you wish to remove
or modify a conference, then select the conference from the listbox marked
Current Conferences. Click the Remove button to remove this conference from the
MCU. Click the Modify button at the bottom of the list box, change any details
and then click the Modify button under the Comments section to commit the
changes. To cancel the modify operation and be able to Create conferences,
click Cancel.

Booking a conference that participants will NOT have to dial into (system
calls them)

Data is entered in 3 dialog boxes:
In the Details Box
- Enter
a subject.
- Room
information if required.
- Room
Status.
In the Time Box
- Select
the appropriate time zone.
- Enter
the start date and time.
- Enter
the finish date and time
In the Video Box
- Select
required MCU details from the pull-down menu.
- Select
IP VCR requirements the pull-down menu.
- Add
a conference name and if required a PIN number.
Advanced Button

This box allows users to select a range of options and is
self explanatory.
Select the Find Resources Tab and from the pre-configured list select the resource required for your conference.

Once resources are
selected click the save tab. Users are
notified by email when the conference is confirmed. At the appointed time and
date end points selected are called.
